Built the traditional way

Both shears are handmade from Japanese 440C stainless steel using two-piece welded construction, then finished with a Japanese-style convex edge hardened to 60–61 HRC. That hardness range is the sweet spot for a working shear: hard enough to hold a razor edge for slide cutting on wet or dry hair, without becoming brittle.

The offset handle shortens the thumb's travel, keeping the hand in a more natural, open position. A removable finger rest lets you tune the grip to your own technique. Together they take load off the hand, wrist, and elbow — the joints that end stylists' careers early.
